Lace Walls
Lace Walls is a shout-out of appreciation to the wallers who created such strong and lovely additions to the landscape of Martha’s Vineyard called “lace walls”. These stones walls built a century ago remain a testament to the quirky, ingenious, and creative New Englanders who enclosed their pastures with carefully balanced rocks leaving air spaces to let the wind blow through instead of tumbling them down.
